Foot Race "Les Moulinades du Quercy Blanc" - Sunday 22nd September at Castelnau-Montratier

Foot Race

The “Moulinades en Quercy Blanc” foot race is organised by the sports society Quercy Sport Nature and is registered in the ADCPHS Challenge. Several circuits join in their loop, the Windmills of the district along trails, tracks and paths surrounded by nature.

Awards ceremony, refreshments and snacks for all after the race.

Opening times from 7 am, place du Foirail (market square) in Castelnau

7 am - welcome and reception of bibs
8.30 am - start 34 km trail 
9 am – start 10 & 15 km hike 
9.30 am – start 16 km trail 
10 am – start 8 km trail 
10.30 – start 1 km & 3 km children’s trail 

Fees: from 5 € to 14 €

European Heritage Days - 21st & 22nd September

European Heritage Days

Each year, during the third week-end of September, it's the European Heritage Days, this year the theme is "Arts and Entertainment".

Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 2019

Visit the Montcuq tower and its exhibitions
On the ground floor tribute to Nino Ferrer; 1st Floor a temporary exhibition dedicated to “Dates and Persons” - a gallery of characters well-known, less well-known or anonymous who created our heritage of today; on the 3rd and 4th floors Montcuq in the Middle Ages. A striking view of the village and the surrounding countryside can be observed from the viewing platform on the top of the tower.

Open on Saturday and Sunday from 10.30 am to 1 pm and from 3.30 pm to 18.30 pm.

Six churches open for self-tour visits
The “Pechpeyroux Environment Society” opens the doors of 6 churches to the public:

  • Saint-Martin de Cézac,
  • Saint-Clément à Cézac (listed historical monument),
  • Saint-André d'Escayrac
  • Lascabanes
  • Chapelle Saint-Jean-le-Froid,
  • Saint-Pierre es-liens de Pechpeyroux.

Open Sunday 22nd September from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Entry fee: free of charge.

The Boisse and Ramps Windmills
The Friends of the Boisse Windmill Society (AMBC) propose a guided visit of the windmill of Boisse and the site of the Ramps Windmill and Roman milestone (listed historical monument).

Open Sunday 22nd September from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Entry fee: 3 €, free for the under 12’s.
