The goal of the Association Nature, Art and Patimoine (Heritage) in Quercy – the ANAP – is to build awareness and promote all knowledge and techniques attached to the values of agro ecology, artistic expression and culture in Quercy.
It participates also in valorising and safeguarding our heritage in its broadest sense by accompanying all actions towards this goal.
The association keeps a watchful eye over the windmill heritage sites of the Castelnau-Montratier district and have restored the windmills of Boisse (in 2000), one of the last windmills of the Lot department that still works and Ramps (2018) with the milestone dating from the roman age.
It can be visited and is put to work a few times during the year, specifically for the National (in June) and European (in September) Heritage days and during the Boisse village festival on the 15th August.
The objective of this association is to give support in a rural environment for the creation, promotion of artistic events, concerts, performances of all varieties (musical, theatrical, chorographical, filmic, culinary, etc.).
For this “Causse toujours…” has put in place cultural projects, exhibitions, workshops, training courses, master classes, learning events… by grouping together artists and crafts people of all trends and all nationalities.
This association was founded in 2009 with the objective of promoting “dance” in the area where it saw the light of day: The Quercy Blanc in the Lot department. For this, it proposes various methods to raise awareness amongst a wide public not only to the practice of dancing but in the training of the public and to feed the cultural and social network of the area.
Champs et Gestes, gives weekly lessons in contemporary and classical dance for a public ranging from 4 years of age to adults.
The association proposes workshops and training courses with independent contractors to favour transversal encounters with other artistic practices such as plastic arts, music, story-telling, theatre, photography (…), propose workshops for choreographic research and performance, create amateur entertainments.
It participates in organising and bringing together amateurs and professionals within the territory by working in partnership with the “Adda du Lot” (Association Departmental for the Development of the Arts), or other cultural structures (Faits et Gestes, Lézard de la Rue…).
The association works to bring together Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc and the Italian town of San Giorgio della Richinvelda by promoting and developing cultural activities between these sister towns. They organise friendly visits and meetings between the two communities, cultural, sporting and recreational activities (dinner-dances, concerts, etc…) and exchange voyages with the Italian delegations.
